I am a resident physician with plans to graduate from an ENT (ear, nose and throat) residency in June 2000. I am interested in a major career switch involving consulting, banking or venture capital. I am applying to the Harvard, Wharton, Stanford MBA programs for fall 2000.
Any thoughts on the proposed plan from those with a similar experience personally or the experience of colleagues/friends that have made such a move?
Lastly, any insights on the likelihood of admission? My numbers are GPA 3.65 - U of Michigan ('91), M.D. U of Michigan Med School ('95), GMAT 730/5.5. My guess is that my essays are solid but not extraordinary.
