RJW524,
Good for you - you must be relieved that at least you've made the decision and are no longer vascilating or uncertain about your future. Are you going to complete a specific post-bac, pre-med program, or are you just going to take classes locally? I agree that the volunteer idea is a great one. Are you going to continue working while taking the prereqs?
I'm still debating, but am going to apply to a couple of post-bac programs, to give myself the option if I have the guts to make the move. It helps to hear about others in similar situations - please share your experiences if you are so inclined.
Thanks and good luck. |

I'll be taking the classes locally. I've ruled out the post-bac route because of the fact that I do plan to keep working until I get accepted and I think that in terms of the time line, waiting for acceptance into a post-bac or grad program will extend things too far. But, if there are opinions I gladly welcome reading them.
I will admit, I'm still a little unsure. I would love to be a doctor, but what does that really do to my plans for a family? What will it be like to be 30 and living on student aid?
There are still some unanswered questions as you can see...
