Wondering if you've made your decision re: med school, what it is and what influenced your ultimate decision. I have been in business for six-seven years and am also disillusioned. I'm unhappy and have had medicine in the back of my mind since college, when I was pre-med for two years. I'm currently struggling with the decision to do medicine, since the time and effort will be great, and there are other things that I want out of life as well (marriage, family - I am a 29 year old female). Any ideas or pieces of advice that you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

I am very good friends with a couple where the husband is in Medical School. She is a nurse. He is beginning his residency now. They appear to be very happy. They have a house and live comfortably and they are expecting a child.
I think it depends on what your priorities and values are. If you want to get married and that is a priority in your life, you will do what is necessary to make room for that in your life.
