I'm an undergrad. nursing major. I'm wondering what the hospitals (or other nurse employers) think are the most important when they employ nurses? School? GPA? or what? |

There is such a massive shortage right now, so hospitals realize the competition. You won't have to worry at all about getting a job. They really like good references. Beware of huge sign on bonuses- the money looks great, but the facility could be in such dire need, your job could be a nightmare. I love nursing, have been doing it over 10 years, and will never quit. But be prepared for long hours, short staffing, and a variety of healthcare issues. Just take good care of your patients, and get a good pair of shoes.
