Message: It's easy to buy into LuvYaGlic's rhetoric. Especially when he/she/it(let's just assume it's a male for now) can't even spell or use proper grammar but calls the rest of GLIC employees idiots. It's called eighth grade English. Check into it. Barring that, write your comments in a word processing program and use spell or grammar check. If the majority of you can't figure that much out, this company is in worse shape than we all already believe. That being said, it's hard to condemn LYG for the above when the majority of you on this board can't seem to use proper English or grammar either. Or when you all resort to childish name calling instead of putting up a good argument. If one didn't know better, one would swear LYG was hired by management just to log onto here and lay down some smoke to distract the masses from the fire that is the downfall of Guardian. He logs on, throws out some insulting comments, and the rest of you feel a burning need to 'defend' yourselves from someone who doesn't even know you. Let LYG run his mouth. If he was truly as autonomous and self-righteous as he claims, he wouldn't be on this board at all. Anyone as self-confident as he makes himself out to be wouldn't bother wiping his ass with this board. The only people that post the kind of rhetoric he does are the kind who need constant reassurance of their own position in life. Someone who has a pathological need to come on here and rip on those below him to pump up his own flailing ego. If I knew for sure LYG was a male I'd also say pump something else up, but I'd hate to resort to the juvenile tactics LYG uses. But LYG does have a point. There are too many people whining on here instead of taking action. If you truly care about the future of this company, then go to your respective department heads and lay it on the line. There doesn't seem to be much point in holding it in anymore. We all have families to support. We all have bills to pay. But when it's all said and done, that still doesn't justify betraying your basic principles to hold onto a job. Speak your mind or do what LYG says--hit the road. Maybe speaking your mind won't change anything, but at least you can look yourself in the mirror in the morning and say you tried. I come to this board because I still foolishly believe in the company I work for. I don't believe it's too late to turn it around if enough good people take a stand. The question is, are any of YOU willing to take that stand. It's not like we have to organize a revolution or start a union. All you have to do is stand up for what you believe in at your respective departments. Hold your ground. If no one listens...then this company deserves to fall. And if you don't speak up, you deserve to fall with it. Which path are you going to take? The road well tread or the road less followed?
