Message: I am 25 and have an undergraduate degree in history. I am about 75% complete with a Master's in Finance and Acccounting from Devry Universtiy (Keller Graduate School of Management). I currently work at Fidelity and am looking to getting out of the personal finance industry. I am interested in working for a accounting firm that places VALUE on hardwork and initiative. Would a firm like GT hire someone with my credentials, or would it be better to get a year experience at a small accounting firm? (I currently have an offer to work for a small CPA firm that does government/non profit auditing). From what I have seen on this chat room, GT website, and publications it seems that GT really is unlike the Big 4. My brother worked for PWC for 4 years and hated every minute of it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
