In Reply To: I'm an in-charge auditor at a small cpa firm (around 30 professional staff and 6 partners). In small firms, the audits are pretty monotonous so I don't feel that I'm growing as an auditor. I think I would learn a lot more at a larger firm like GT where there is probably more planning, risk assessment, and professional judgement, but honestly, I'm afraid of the change. I really need your honest opinions about working as an auditor at GT. Is it good experience? Are you always learning? Does anyone think to themselves, I have really learned a lot from this firm and I could probably tackle anything because of it. All input is appreciated. Thanks
Message: After spending five years in private accounting - I'm now in my 4th year with GT. It's been a tremendous experience and I can't say enough about the people I work with and the client experiences that I have had. Of course, there are always the tough clients and the real a-hole Managers...but on the whole, GT has been tremendous. You could easily make the transition to GT from your current firm. If you would like more information, please shoot me an e-mail. Include your resume and which location you are looking to work in. I've worked in the NYC offices since I started. soupsmp@yahoo.com
