I filled up the mobility form as an intern and i was offered a position at a quant in asset management but i was interning in technology
And i know many more people who have easily moved laterally. |

those types of movements are of course ok, everyone needs a programmer. try getting yourself to the big-hitting front office positions i.e. NOT a quant in a trading desk. only the real superstars determine their fate in gs.
