Hi,
GS recruits for summer internships at my college, but asks that we both apply through the college's career services and on the GS website. Does anyone know if we're supposed to interpret this as meaning that the deadline for applying on GS's website is the same as the deadline for applying through my college's career services?
On the GS internship posting on my college's career services website, it says simply that we must apply through both my college's career services and on GS's website. There is a definite deadline for applying through career services, and that is listed at the bottom of the posting. I believe that my college, not GS, sets these deadlines for resume submittals. There is no mention on the internship posting of a deadline for filling in the online application.
Should I assume the 2 deadlines are exactly the same? Or is it fair to assume that the application on GS's website need only be submitted in reasonable time (like a few days after career services's deadline).
Any advice from personal experience or conjecture would be great. |

Hi,
As far as I know everyone should apply on their website, and the deadline for summer positions has passed, Dec 2nd (they have already sent out the interview invitations.) I would double-check with your career office and see what's going on.
