I'd rather not disclose too much info about me 'cos I don't want to be recognized! :)
Definitively do go for the internship: for interns it is easier to join the FMP, simply because GE managers know you, and so they can be somwhat more sure about you and your performance, whereas of course hiring someone you don't know is always a risk. Don't get me wrong: if you're a poor performer GE will kick you out even if you interned with them!

are you talking about the european fmp or the US one?
do the hours you claim include training classes? if so, it's pretty fair. i though the fmp was more time demanding
what a FMP can typically expect after 5y in GE? (without joining the CAS)
as a FMP in europe, where do you pay tax?? in the country where you rotate?
