In Reply To: Those who wanna reach the top join the CAS (Corporate Audit Staff) after the FMP. However, the percentage of FMPs joining CAS has dramatically dropped over the last years, because CAS has its disadvantages, too. Work is boring (ever thought auditing was fun?) and hours are extremely long, and you travel throughout the world, which makes it impossible to mantain relationships. The pros are that it's a proven track to the top. I only recommend it if you are a little GE-brainwashed, and really wanna develop a long-term career. Otherwise, any investment bank would pay much much more for the same type of hours! Those who do not join CAS usually land jobs as senior financial analysts. There have always been more than enough jobs for FMPs, but of course networking is very important, and my advice is that you should try to get a rotation in a place where you think you might like to work after the program, so that you get to know the people and the business. Any questions, just ask!
Message: I really appreciated your insight on the FMP Are you a current FMP? I'm preparing my application for the next FMP rotation and I'm applying for a FP&A internship in GE Commercial Germany. What do you think of the GE recrutment process? Greetings!
