Lew and AgentO - thanks for the input. I've been in sales for about 7 years now - everything from credit reports to enterprise software - and am looking HARD at becoming an exclusive agent for a large insurance company.
While sales and the sales process aren't my issue, it's the ramp-up time. I've got some money to fall back on, but with a wife and two kids I'm really concerned about future prospects for all field agents. Do you see the web making a huge dent in earnings potential? If that were the case, I don't know why the particular company I'm considering would be looking to place more than 100 exclusive agents in the field this year.
I'm also considering being a broker and trying my skills there first.
Any feedback from anyone in the business would be appreciated. |

Hi, Im in California studying for my life license. what company is it your talking about? Sounds like a good one. I am considering Aflac to start with.
