I've read some of your other replies, and can see that you are a well-informed person whom gives good advice. I would be most grateful for you opinion on the following questions:
I'm currently at oxbridge (final year), and have been looking to get into investment banking. that doesn't seem as though it'll work out - i have applied to pretty much every bank i can find with little luck - and I'm looking for other options. Accounting is looking a pretty good bet at this stage. Could you give me advice regarding which division in a big four firm would set me up best for trying to get into a bank or private equity shop a couple of years down the line? Is that a path which works? Do you think that it would be feasible to apply again for banking next fall and work a year in an accountancy? Would working at a place like Fidelity in equity research set me up for breaking into investment banking down the line?
I would really be most grateful for any advice you could give me.
