In Reply To: Hi there Recent Finance grad: I will be starting in a commercial banking training program in 2 months. I was wondering if commercial banking is a good long term career. Does anyone know how the salaries typically increase as you move on in level? What kind of exit options exist for former commercial bankers? thank you very much, your advice is really appreciated
Message: I'll be graduating in the Spring of 2003 and am interested in commercial banking and also hope to get into one of these training programs, you yourself said you had been accepted to. So, I was wondering if you were liking it? Any thoughts to the questions you yourself posted, i.e. good long term career/salary expectations/job satisfaction, ect? I am currently interning in the commercial lending dep't of a large regional bank doing financial/credit analysis, financial spreading, monitoring loans to ensure they're loan covenants are being met, etc. How would this internship position me to get into a wellknown Bank's training program? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
