I would like to hear the boards opinons about Marsh, the company, it's position in the marketplace and what opportunities it presents? Would be great to hear from any ex Marsh employees out there or anybody who've had experience dealing with the company.
I am quite surprised abot the lack of dialogue about teh company especially considering they tout themselves as the number one insurance brokerage frim in the nation. |

Marsh is a good company to work for - depending on which subsidiary you go to work for.
I work with brokers and self insureds. I crunch numbers to bring in comissions and help self insureds lower their costs.
There are some brain dead careers here but most people seem to stay a long time.
The only major criticism I can give you about Marsh is that they don't use their talents effectively. For example, we found a broker purchasing insurance for a large client without consulting others in Marsh to see if the client could get a better deal by purchasing a different type of insurance. $10,000 later we were able to show the client how they could save several hundred thousand in premium by doing things a little differently.
It is a good place to be in the insurance field.
