I understand Corrie what you are saying. Many of my friends at my internet company, post messages on vault.com and sometimes the passion might get a little hot.
However, if I may defend some of the more "out there" posts, let me try. First and foremost there has been much evil perpetrated by insurance executives and agency managers in the last 15 years. The abuse of employees and a lot of salespeople has been so extreme, that it is perfectly understandable why so many need to at least vent here. No outsider who has never worked at one of these captive agent companies can ever "feel the pain" of the hundreds of sales people and employees who have been and continue to be abused. The turnover in the insurance industry is legendary, but not because selling is hard, but because of the inexcusable lack of support - both financial and logical from insurance management. Vault has performed a great service by "leveling the playing field" at this time. I think vault.com will remain a smash hit as long as it keeps its impartiallity, keeps confidences and doesn't get steamrolled by the obviously upset executives and their lawyers who call in to complain. If vault can stay neutral - which they should since internet law,or (lack thereof)permits it - then vault will continue to grow in popularity. If vault were to compromise on its wonderful, albeit, short history of integrity - well then, we all know there are competitor sites more than willing to allow sales people and employees to vent. I do not condemn your admonishment - but, there is a standard of free speech that it has to be balanced against. |

Thank you for your comments.
Vault.com will always remain neutral. My post was in no way triggered by complaints from company executives and their lawyers, but instead a concern for the productivity of the message boards. While Vault.com encourages professionals to post concerns in the workplace and vent frustrations, there is no need for personal attacks against other posters or private persons.
Thank you, again, for your comments, and I hope you continue to use and enjoy Vault.
