Selecting The Right Insurance Company and Agency.... for your long term success
Let?s assume that the major companies are following through with all their promises to new agents. They all have great products, fantastic commissions, super training programs, and proven sales presentations.
And let?s also assume that all insurance agents are given the same tools, they are all intelligent and they all have a burning desire to succeed.
Then why are 85% of these producers struggling and failing in the first 5 years of this business?
Why are only a handful of producers and sales organizations enjoying the success that the major companies promised them?
What do the top producers and top producing organizations know that most producers and sales organizations don?t know?
Find an agency that believes in ?Relationship selling.? Most agencies are teaching agents to sell products based on features, and benefits. However, today's top agents know that this old, traditional style of selling, brings only limited success to most producers. They have discovered a new style of selling, that is compatible with today?s more sophisticated and demanding clients. A style that works for everyone.
Today's top producers embrace an approach called ?Relationship Selling.? Relationship Selling is developing mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships with your clients to enhance their satisfaction and stimulate long term loyalty.
With your clients having so many choices today, it is more critical than ever before, to take good care of your clients. Relationship Selling encourages you to serve the client as a consultant, not as a peddler.
?View selling as something we do for the client, not to the client.?
The producer who is genuinely working in the client?s best interests, is adding value to the sales process. As a sense of trust is built with the client, it gives
the producer a invaluable advantage, in today?s increasingly competitive society.
Building a mutually beneficial partnership with your clients, is a win-win scenario. Clients win, because as you understand more about them, you are better able to satisfy their wants, needs and desires, to help them to take better care of their family and themselves. You win, because as you gain the client?s trust, you
make larger sales, get more repeat sales and you receive high quality referrals.
If your looking for long term success with insurance sales, find a agency that will take the time to train you in actual selling techniques, not just peddling policies.

Its more accurate to point out that most insurance agents earn in the $20-45K range and few make 100K. Super Stars in every industry make $100K or more, but they are more numerous outside of the insurance field.
