In Reply To: I started out w/ my firm as a client service assistant about 2 years ago. I had my series 6 and about 5 years of life insurance (customer service work) background. I was told that if I got my series 7, 63, 65 and L&H insurance license that would boost me up to a great salary. In the last 7 months I have obtained ALL of those licenses and am working on my 31 (just for the heck of it). I haven't seen any raises since I got all my licenses and I'm not sure there are any coming in the foreseable future. I feel like I just got it for my well being and now I'm stuck. I'm the only SA in the office that is licensed and I work for 3 brokers and 2 IT brokers. My base salary from my office is $22k and the compensation from the brokers is about $6k. Is that pay about right for my 'new found experience', and I must add I have a reputation of Getting Things Done, so my service work is something I can add to my 'experience' level. I just don't know what I should bargain for? Any suggestions from the SA's out there or FA's that can sympathize?? I don't want to be a full fledged broker cause the thought of not knowing if I'll make it scares me, but I do want to maximize my income as much as I can.
Message: I think you can make more. Send resume to ftirex@aol.com and i'll contact you. Thanks and Good Luck.
