Start accounting career in a commercial bank |

I have been working in the teller area of a midsized bank on a part-time basis for about 1.5 years; I started doing this to support my education (ie for MS degree in acctg) and still doing so until I find an acctg pos.
I graduated last year, and want to start my acctg career in the commercial banking(CB) industry (there are no such positions currently avail. at my bank). I would appreciate feedback/opinions on how potential CB employers might view this situation and my goal. Also, any specific suggestions or comments as to how to make this transition would also be helpful. Thank you!
