In Reply To: As the caffine finally started working today, I realized that there is one other possible answer to your question. In the residential mortgage industry there are also "Wholesale Mortgage" positions. This is where you (as an employee of a mortgage funding company - usually a large bank) sale your product (funding) to mortgage brokers. However, in general, wholesale banking and business banking are basically the same. The other side is retail or consumer banking.
Message: Is business banking generally harder to get into than consumer/retail? Is it more competitive, and is the experience more valuable? Are growtn opportunities greater? How does business lending compare to cash management in terms of salary/promotions/hours?? would appreciate any input. thanks.
