They came across my resume on careerbuilder and said they wanted to do an "interview". They were vague as far as the job description went and I read some (unfortunately not this one) of the reviews. Basically it was not an interview at all and the position is that of sales. I sat in the same room as five other jobseekers and we listened to the biggest load of crap from this one manager. I knew almost right away that this job sucked because they try to blow smoke up your ass on how you have the potential to make a ton of money from commissions. The guy used the analogy of that of a lawyer or doctor but without having to invest in further education. My biggest concern was that they say they will teach you how to get clients, however they don't cold call. So that leaves with your friends and family as your client base. I asked them that question and guy didn't really know what to say but was like "Uh, well we show you how to build clients". Luckily I spent little time filling out the paperwork they wanted because they asked the same things my resume already provided. I wanted to leave as soon as the "interview" was over but was immediately introduced to another manager and was suckered into meeting in private where he tried to schedule me for another "smaller" informational session and interview, but I declined and got the hell out of there as soon as I could. I wasted an hour of my life and I caution others who recieve a call to interview to not waste their time. |
