In Reply To: I am currrently 1 year out of college and working as an underwriting associate for Chubb Insurance. From what I see the money is not that great in Inurance and the job can be very dry at times. Although the hours are good, what path should one pursue if they want to make big money in this industry?
Message: IS their an area of Chubb's underwriting program that is better to go into then another? Ive been looking into Chubb, and have a final interview with them, but salary down the line is a concern of mine. It appears that outside of going into management, the money seems to top out around $75,000-$85,000. What transferable skills can you take away from your underwriting experience? What is a common career jump from underwriting (other then Mgt)?
