I have to partly disagree with the previous response that the fashion capitol is not LA. New York has always been the hub of the industry but there is a lot of fashion manufacturing based in LA. I feel you can have a solid career in fashion either in LA or NYC but I wouldn't say one is better than the other. In some ways, it may be easier for you to break into the industry here. Good Luck! |

I am assuming that you are living in LA, working in the fashion industry. Correct?
How did you break into the LA fashion industry? What's the best way to find out what companies are based here? How did you go about applying?
How are the people in the industry? What area do you work in? How is the marketing aspect of the business?
