I am graduating with a degree in Fashion and am looking for a position in the Chicago area. Any tips as to where I should look and who I should contact, would be great!

I'm no insider but I know Chicago is big for the fashion catalogue industry. Spiegel is the Big Kahuna and there are a lot of satellites from there, all in the field of catalogue production. If you look there, you may find some opportunity.
