Not going to a fashion University--what to do? |

I'm a senior at a university where it seems most of my classmates will take a career in investment banking/consulting, neither of which is particularly appealing. I'm interested in the fashion industry at the corporate level but not in a design capacity. What function plays the most instrumental role, that is, who makes the strategic business decisions? My hunch is marketing--is this correct? And do opportunities exist for freshly minted undergrads? |

To BANKING BLUES, I have the same dilemma exactly...I am a senior graduating from a great university in NEw York and no fashion oppurtunities come our way but I definitely want to do more along corporate and nothing along design. we should begin an email correspondence....email me at NY1030@aol.com and in the SUBJECT write down FASHION FASHION FASHION so I dont erase. I would love to exchange knowledge and maybe we can help eachother!!!
