I've heard that if you get the 2nd in house interview, that you're basically going to be offered the internship. Is this true? |

This is definitely not true. Depending on your practice and location, it is very well possible that 1 out 5 2nd round interviews will be extended an offer. Of coarse that number fluxuates but even for a big recruiting class, the number will be around 50% at best.
