I am graduating this spring with my MAcc and I have a solid 3.4 GPA. I have worked with 2 small CPA firms here in Gainesville for the past 2 years, so I have some experience.
My problem is that I went to the career fair and got absolutely no response for an interview, even though I felt that my conversation went well and my resume is competitive. I was only cantacted by 2 of the big 4.
I am looking for a job in the NY/NJ/CT area, and the recruiters down here are for the southeast. Could this have contributed to the fact that I didn't get a chance?
Also, what would be the next step in contacting E&Y about a FT audit position in the northeast? I feel a bit out of touch and would really appreciate some help. Thank You.
