I was talking about DT in Boston.
According to my research, if you want to get into public accounting, here are the salary ranges for 2006
For Big firms
1-3 years of experience 48750-60000
up to 1 year of experience 42750-52000
Medium firms
1-3 years of exp 43750-53000
up to 1 year 36750-46000
It also depends on whether you have masters degree or not.
If you have already signed the offer, do not make it too obvious but you can give one more shot...first research and then talk to them about how your research shows the company standard is so forth and so on. They might consider. Me I have already accepted the offer and with the hard work I will definately move up. so 53 is fine with me.
