Message: I'm headed into my 6th and 7th round of interviews at EY this week, and believe I have a pretty good chance of getting an offer. A few questions for the negotiation gurus out there, or at least those with some experience at EY: 1. How much over the initial offer should I ask for? I was told 10-20% is reasonable, but I don't want to be insulting. Also, can I just ask for it, or do I have to justify it with industry stats and shameless self-promotion? 2. Is it possible to negotiatiate a car? I currently walk to my city job, but taking the EY job would require a commute. Should I ask for a company car (do these exist for entry/mid level jobs in the US??) or an increase in salary to cover my costs? Thanks!
