In Reply To: E&Y is coming to campus after winter break and I am currently in the application process. I've read all that I can about the main business lines of E&Y but I am still unsure which one to apply to. Do you guys know what the pay differences are for the different lines? Does one pay more than the other? Is it easier to move up in one business line than the other? Also, does anyone have any tips for getting noticed in the application/interview process? In case you need info about me, I am a junior at a top tier university(if that means anything) and I have completed 3 accounting classes so far and gotten an A+,A, and A+ in those threee classes. Thanks!
Message: Do not worry too much about the lines of business. I recently recieved an offer and during the interview process I met people who enter the firm in one area, did not like it then transferred to another areas(specifically, the person moved from audit to tax). THe firms spend so much to high, train and retain you that it would be silly to allow let you leave without trying to find an area you are better suited in or our more interested. Make sure to stress that your a team player. This industry is composed of people working in teams. THere is no room for lone rangers Best wishes
