In Reply To: There is no anti-office-romance policy at my firm, however, senior management has spent the past 11 months trying to get me to leave (quit) because I am dating an associate who is separated and going through a divorce. They have lied about me, to me, stabbed me in the back, denied me of an adequate bonus, monitored my email and voice mail all looking for any reason to cause me more problems (this perosns marriage was over way before I ever entered the picture). The firm will not fire me because they are A) afraid of a law suit and B) dont want to pay unemployment. Please take heed of what I am saying - find out BEFORE you get involved. I have gone through almost a year of hell...and I am finally getting out...and looking for a good lawyer!
Message: this is a continuation of my message... I forgot to add this: Our relationship has never affected our job performance or the way we interact while at work, so that is not a cause as to their treatment of me.
