So were they really friendly on the phone and it was more laid back? I always heard the SEO interview is very intense and they try to make you break and lose your compusure? Maybe this is what the in person interview is like... Do they tell you right there on the phone that you made it to the 2nd round? Thanks for all the advice. |

My interviewer was friendly and didn't ask any tough questions at all. My questions regarded my activities on campus, my interests, what i knew about SEO, and why I would be right for the job. You won't find out if you move on until later, not on the phone. At the end of the interview, she gave me tips on moving on, telling me to brush up on my SEO knowledge and to make sure I kept up w/ the wallstreet journal.
I assume that the in-person interview is somewhat intense, but I don't think they'll try to "break you". Remember, SEO is all about helping minorities get their foot in the door; they don't expect you to be a seasoned professional, just suitable intern. Like I said, just be knowledgeable about the company and be able to go into detail about your involvement at school. Relax, and you'll do fine.
