I am trying to find out if there are any companies who openly are willing to hire overweight people. I am so tired of going on interviews and seeing their eyes glaze over. I don't want to waste my time anymore.
I am a hardworking, loyal and competent clerical support person. The temp job employers I've had all expessed how great I am as an employee (no interviews before I started)but I think on interviews, there is a feeling that I must be lazy or stupid because of my weight, until I am "known". Are there any companies in Los Angeles (valley) that you may know that don't have a problem with it? I know LA is especially difficult unless your cute and thin. |

I think that it is horrible in this day and time that people should be valued for their knowledge skills and abilities.
I would recommend trying to do some type of consulting work where you could work from home and let your work speak for itself.
There a many start up companies that do not have a great deal of office space but need hard workers like yourself.
