In Reply To: Truly the best thing to do at Dtas is learn what you can about marketing in the real world and then leave. A couple years or more is a good run. You will then line up new job and be surprised at the amount of tangible knowledge and experience you've garnered. As marketers of all stripes(creatives, project mgrs, account folks, etc.)our career progress in stages. Dtas is just one stage. There is lots of work to be had after you decide it's time to move on from Digitas. So clearly define the experience you want to get and then move on. This is particularly true for directors, associate directors and above.
Message: For account services types, yes. DTAS on your resume will open doors for you. But for creatives, make sure you have a kick ass book with lots of work OTHER than what you've done at the 'Tas, because this agency's creative reputation is not a feather in anyone's cap.
