In Reply To: I've attended corp presentations and had 1on1 sessions with senior CSFB bankers - it seems like an awesome place. Straightforward, hardworking people - and their offices are excellent. Having said that, I can't say enough good things about DB. I've had plenty interaction with their bankers, both through interviews and mixer events. It seems like the Vault&Wetfeet guides have it nailed down pretty well: DB is a truly meritocratic place. If you want to work hard and have a desire to perform, they will allow you and give you all the merit you deserve. You'll find their bankers to be "real" people, not pre-occupied with stereotypical behavior and truly open-minded. And to counter my comment about the CS offices: 60 Wall Street is no joke either, that place is amazing. In terms of strengths, DB is a debt powerhouse. The league tables should direct you to DB over CS. Now, since I made an honest attempt at answering your question, why don't you answer back and tell me what your thought process is. Do you have offers with both, or are you still researching?
Message: Where did you end up taking a job? DB? Also, when you say that 60 wall street is amazing, what do you mean? I'm guessing that you meant the facilities, but in what regard? Do they have their own cafetaria? How about their own gym? I accepted an offer there, but I didn't really get to tour the premises while interviewing. thanks
