If you define first year manager, as being a manager the first year you join DT and not overall PM experience then you could be right. I am referring to someone that has less than a years experience as a project manager during their entire career. Even with that said, it??s hard to believe. Especially the firms you listed, there??s no way. |

I define a 1st year manager as someone who is a 1st year manager at their firm. It does not relate to how many years of PM experience that person has.
Everyone's perspective is different, but I know firsthand (through friends) what they are being paid at other consulting firms as a 1st year manager. I also know what another friend was paid when he joined Deloitte last year as a 1st year manager. In each of these instances, it is $130K+.
