I jumped ships a couple of moths ago. I recieved 30% raise in a industry job. I hardly do real work of 30 hrs and its just sweet that I can have good social life and get paid more. Only down side is I dont get to accumalate airmiles and hotelpoints, but my 30% raise is more better thab being a point hog.
Last week I recieved a oppurtunity with another firm which has offered me a 100% raise than what I made in DC three months ago, only catch is I have to move to W.Coast. I am still debating about that offer.
In a nutshell its time to get out for anynody who has been in DC for more than 2 years.... you are all underpaid. In my old Deloitte engagement, only the Sr Manager, a Manager and Sr Consultant is left, rest 8 of us left for better oppurtunity and are probably making more than the Sr Manager, who has been in the firm for 8 years.

If one or more of you don't mind sharing...what is the salary range being discussed here.
BTW - report I recently read suggested most new hires are a result of stealing employees away from the competition.
I'm looking for a good company to work for...I'm reading bad things about all companies. DC seems to be a target rich environment...is this a correct statement?
