Industry is hopping. I was a 3rd year manager. Cash at my new gig is 35% more, better hours, DBPP. Had McKinsey (a REAL consulting firm) call me the day I accepted my recent offer - oh well!?!?!!! Just had another offer come down for another $25K. So, is it really any doubt that you're being underpaid 50-60% (reasonable guess??), being passed-over for the partners nephews and drinking buddies, and being the only person delivering steller client work?
Deloitte is sooooooooooo done as a firm. There is NO WAY industry execs will pay $350/hour for someone Deloitte calls a manager, but who is a plain-Jane BA from shitsville university. They promoted a guy this past summer with just such a background. Sure...people with graduate degrees from top schools, internationally-respected designations, years of experience, and actually creativity will pay that kinda rate for some basketweaver who simply partied with an ex-DC big wig partner to get his promo?????? Well, I might pay $3.50/hour, but not $350.
Getting out now is your wiseest move. Deloitte partners and their lame clients don't deserve to have good people. |
