Message: I have 29 years work experience with Juvenile Probation/Child Welfare duties. The handful of different positions I worked on in this line gave me wide experience in the provision of these services. The last 10 years with my employer (County) were spent in Business Process Reengineering and design, development, staff training and all aspects of implementation and maintenance of a robust computer case management system for delinquency and child welfare tracking and decision making. It is a great, unique application and one of the few around (maybe the only) for delinquency agencies that includes screens for case workers, medical staff, long and short term youth institutions, Public Defenders, District Attorneys, Judges, administrators, etc. and even connections to local law enforcement and community service providers. I was the Project Director for the client (County) side, and we partnered with Deloitte for over 4 years. I have a truly unusual combination of experience with frontline work in providing services and then building a computer system from the ground up to support the service provision. Given my experience and success, I interviewed with Deloitte last spring to either join the firm or to be hired as a consultant on similar projects with a SACWIS emphasis or in the juvenile justice field, which is a bit behind the Protective Services people. It looked like I would get picked up, once issues of my availability were resolved and the right project came along for Deloitte to use me. There was mention of at least 3 different specific sites where I might be just the ticket. Then it seems everything went cold. Almost everyone involved in the process left the picture. The Partner and Senior Manager I partnered with for all those years at the County left the firm. The Partner that interviewed me "back East" left the firm shortly after our interview. Even the Human Resources person involved went to another position and my file seems to have languished. There IS still a Senior Manager that was in on the interviews and knows my experience well, and I believe she is looking for a spot for me. But I do not know if that will pan out. Any suggestions on how I can get this back on track? It seems to be so far off from last summer when I did some free document editing for a project proposal for folks I knew at Deloitte. Many of them were asking if I were on board yet for other assignments they had in the works. IDEAS?
