An MBA is not required to advance in the technical practices. That doesn't mean they don't support it. If you get good ratings and want to pursue an MBA, it is perfectly possible to get firm sponsorhip. Just takes a little more legwork for an SA compared to a BA. Plenty of people do it every year though. |

i'm not in that field but from what i've heard it's not discouraged but it's certainly not encouraged either. this is a totally separate issue from obtaining firm sponsorship.
