So it's the MBA that I'm lacking? I actually felt that the offer was a little low considering that it's only $2000 more than what I am making currently. Also, even though I have only a MS, it's with a concentration in operations analysis and info systems from CMU. |

It is the top-tier MBA that you are lacking.
Many of our consultants have graduate degrees from top-tier programs within their respective fields (e.g., MPH, MHA, MS). But the top-tier MBA new-hires will command the premium salaries. They may not perform the tasks any better than you, but they'll get paid more doing so.
Yes, it sucks. But that's the market and you either play or leave.
