Answer to 1st Question:
I see the first question on this board quite often and I'll try to answer everyone who asks, "is [it] possible to ask [for an] increase [in]salary after signing the offer letter?"
Here's an excerpt "Jungle" magazine, Nov. 2004 issue. They state it quite well.
'If you go into the interview and don't know the employer is thinking $110,000, then you don't deserve the job,'...'There are 400 different reports on what companies pay.'
In all honesty, if you didn't do the research to find out the mean salary for your area, you deserve what you signed. There are over 800 posts in this discussion board and at least 50 are on salary and the range hasn't changed much in the past 2 years.
Short answer: No, you can't get an increase after signing. Your signature authenticates that you agree to the salary and terms.
Answer to Question 2:
Increase is 5-10% of your first year. Increase usually comes 1-2 years, based on performance (Audit and ERS are rated on their utilization).
