I am interviewing for an internship in the nyc area and I was wondering what big 4 firm has the best client base in regards to the financial industry in nyc...i know deloitte has a few but mostly as consulting and not auditing...I am interesting in auditing and heard e&y has the best client base for that.. |

Each big4 has strength in FSI. FSI includes investment management, insurance, private equity, investment banking, brokerage, and commercial banking. Deloitte has very strong client in Private equity(KKR, blackstone) and investment bakning &brokerage(Merril Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Bear stern, Chase Swab...). One piece of advice is that the big name is not good all the time. Once you are assigned to those big clients, you are assigned prettey much year around. It means that you will have much less disclosure. Another weakness is that you will not see any big picture and does not develope any leadership skill in early years because you will do many mechanical work and the team is pretty big for a senior to play an important role.
