I am currently in Valuation, and while we do some audit review work, the practice is hardly commiting itself further in that direction. A normal audit review wont bring in half of the fees that a full valuation engagement will and we all know that it is all about the fees. |

The D&T valuation practice where I worked for 5 years & a couple of others where I have reliable contacts all report that audit has become their single largest client in terms of fees and that reviews realize the highest rate per hour. Maybe there are some exceptions to this trend, but generally FAS valuation is becoming a SAS review practice.
