I'm currently an undergraduate at the Broad school @ MSU. I plan on continuing into the masters program here.
Could you possibly offer some career advice? Mainly, I'm interested in working in audit or finance w/ the big four via a secondary financial market (e.g. Chicago). Hopefully, I can gain some exposure to the financial services industry there.
My question to you...how do go about securing an interview with a regional office in Chicago. Do you ask a local recruiter here at MSU to facilitate the process? Are they receptive to this type of request? Also, would I be better off soliciting the regional office directly through alumni or other contacts?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Continue your MBA @ MSU to obtain your 150 credits. Right after you graduate, study and pass the CPA exam. I would definitely go with a big four accounting firm for exp. Audit or finance are both good choices.
I would establish contact with a recruiter @ MSU and have them get you contact information for a recruiter in Chicago. They should be receptive if you approach it appropriately. I would solicite with yourself, alumni and others contacts.
