In Reply To: First off, I am not clear about your title ... Not friendly to international hires ... your post does not seem related to that at all. Second, I agree the interview process and follow-up process is not ideal and unfortunately presents a negative image. However, your comments about MS vs BS... the specific location and organization that you interviewed with may not have had many MS employees, but by and large the company hires many (even, PhDs...mostly in the technical organization). And, many of these employees do quite well.
Message: To make it clearer to ophelia_149. Cummins does not sponsor international students. I spoke of my experience with their HR department and gave my opinion on their hiring process. Every manager and executive that I spoke to only had a BS and 15 to 30 years of experience. I think they're the ones that should count during the recuiting process. As for the company hiring many graduate degree employees (PhD,MS) from technical fields that is not true. I have many friends working there. Majority of the folks there do not have a graduate degree.
