In Reply To: I was recently contacted for a potential position with the Private Banking services group. I have a decent understanding of what they do (wealthy individuals as clients, etc), but was hoping that someone here could give me more insight. What would be the typical work day for an associate (MBA grad)? What kind of projects would I be involved with? Travel? Compensation? Would I essentially pidgeon-hole myself for the rest of my career into this field, and not be able to get into corporate finance (Private Equity, valuation, etc)? This career path sounds very interesting, but I had not really considered before they contacted me. Any advice would be most welcome.
Message: I have been contacted as well. I don't think that you will be pidgeon-holed. You would pick up great training and exposure to various types of financial instruments. You will also pick up a 7 and 66 which is universal. What office are you interviewing at?
