I had gotten inside info. the base range was $60 - $75K.... so depending on my negotiation skills and experience (how much are we talking about anyway) I could get $90? Regarding the turn-over, isn't that pretty much the case everywhere and what upward mobility prospects would there be with this position should I decide to pursue it and get it? BTW, I do disagree and think it should do at least some good for one's resume, don't you think? Just trying to get some feelers before taking the plunge here. Thanks for any help. |

I can only speak for myself and my circumstances. It behooves you to make the case for why you are worth more $. True, all firms experience turnover but CEB's, at least in sales, borders on fast food numbers. Upward mobility in CEB sales just means you're responsible for your big number and a few others on your pyramid or franchise. You don't have time to develop the skills to be a sales manager/exec because you're too busy selling to hit your individual number. I get really polarized feedback on the value of CEB on my resume (really good or really bad). That's not a positive sign. That's my experience (and I'm admittedly looking to make a move), but it's still your decision to make. Good luck!
