Thank-you so much for taking the time to respond to my email. I am very interested in the position.
If you don't mind me asking...what would the base pay and average commission be for someone who has 3 years work experience and MBA? Also, I keep reading that turnover is a problem at CEB. Is there a lot of turnover in this position?
Again, you have been very helpful. I am trying to pull a list of companies together that I would like to focus on for my job search. I will be relocating to DC due to my fiance's job next year. Thanks again. |

This is basically a sales position. Every single year, a membership comes up for renewal and the MSAD's job is to sell them on one additional year's worth of membership. This can be somewhat of a crapshot ... if you are in a good program with strong research for that year, the job can be quite easy ... otherwise, it can cause lots of sleepless nights.
The main issue with turnover is due to the high growth goals for CEB as a whole. 30% growth year over year puts stress on anyone.
As for whether the job is right for you, I would say that it probably is not. Very few MBAs are found in the member services ranks. This is, once again, primarily a (re)sales position.
