Hi,
I was in Corporate Finance at MS in NY but was axed after my first year as an analyst when the bank got hit hard. The last few months have been spent working for a major co. in it's finance dept. I'm American but just married a Brit and am moving to London, I'd like to work in marketing, consulting, strategic planning, Bus. Dev., or brand management but have no idea what the major companies look like in the UK or what the potential is of getting a top job there. Should I write to the companies myself or try to work with a headhunter? I went to a top university in the US, have great GMAT scores and a good undergrad gpa. What kind of starting salary can I expect in the UK? I understand the salaries are substantially less than in the US.
